Mnemonic memory

22 Sep 2021

Couple days ago, I had a science lesson and we had to remember the different phases of a biological process. So the teacher did what all teachers do and wrote a way to remember them.

It was "I picked my arse today class"[1], and everyone burst into hysterics after hearing that.

But there are other mnemonics taught in school, how I learnt the solar systme was "My Very Educated Mother Served Us Noodles"[2].

They're meant to help you understand and they can actually work[3] and are an interesting way of teaching.
