My very first custom built PC. Most of the parts I bought in one day off of eBay because I needed it for studies but some of the parts were bought earlier in 2024. starcruiser serves as my gaming PC, my Windows test box, and as a spiritual successor to battlestation.
The reason I picked used parts from around 2017~2018 is because that was the period when I had the most interest in commodity hardware so it's what I am most familiar with in terms of performance and what I was most comfortable buying for. I plan to upgrade it to a 9th gen CPU and an AMD GPU that is close to a higher end GTX 10 series card.
